OPEN FIELD SESSIONS

OVERVIEW
Eastlake Fastpitch Boosters are excited to offer Open Field Sessions this offseason for Eastlake High School students in grades 9–12.
These are player-led, informal workout sessions and are not coached or directed by Eastlake High School softball coaches. The field will be opened and supervised by an LWSD employee, while softball activities and workouts will be led by Eastlake Fastpitch alumni, current upperclassmen & LWSD volunteers.
Open Field allows players to get extra reps, work together on hitting, throwing, fielding, pitching, and catching, and continue developing their individual skills during the offseason. Participation is completely optional and is a great way for current and prospective Eastlake players to stay active, connect with other fastpitch players, and prepare for the upcoming high school softball season.
Players should bring their own glove, bat, helmet, appropriate footwear, water bottle, and any position-specific equipment they may need.
OPEN FIELD SCHEDULE
Open Field will run from mid-October through the end of February, with sessions generally offered twice each week:
Wednesdays | 1:30–3:30 PM (Full Facility)
Thursdays | 7:00–9:00 PM (Batting Cages Only)
Open Field will follow the LWSD school calendar. If there is no school on a scheduled Open Field day due to a holiday, school break, closure, or other non-school day, there will be no Open Field session that day.
Any schedule updates, changes, or cancellations will be communicated by the upperclassmen through the Fastpitch GroupMe. Players are encouraged to join the GroupMe and check it regularly for the latest Open Field information. To be added, please contact the Fastpitch Booster Club or any previous EHS Fastpitch softball players.
FREE & OPTIONAL
This is a Booster Club–run program, and participation is completely optional. There is no cost to participate.
Open Field is designed to give Eastlake softball players access to facilities and an opportunity to work on their skills during the offseason. These sessions are not tryouts, and participation has no bearing on team selection for the upcoming high school season.
Sessions will follow the school calendar and facility availability, so there will be no Open Field on days when school or the facilities are closed. Schedule changes or additional dates will be communicated as needed.
All players must register and complete the required waiver before participating.
OPEN TO EASTLAKE STUDENTS GRADES 9–12
Whether you're a returning Eastlake Fastpitch player or you're interested in playing high school softball this spring, you're welcome to participate.
