George Crowder, after seventeen years, is returning to Eastlake Fastpitch as the varsity head coach. George was one the original staff when Eastlake opened its doors in 1993…started the fastpitch program that same year and for the next fourteen was the head varsity coach. In 2008 Crowder left Eastlake to become the athletic director at Lake Washington High School…he left Lake Washington in 2015 to become the athletic director at Skyline High School. After forty-four years in public education George retired in 2016.
Since retiring Coach Crowder worked for two years as a JV assistant coach at Eastlake…then went on to become the head fastpitch coach for four years at Eastside Catholic.
He is back where it all started!

Assistant Coach - Varsity
BRIAN FOX

Brian Fox is returning as assistant coach of Eastlake Fastpitch. Brian has been coaching fastpitch softball since 1990, winning multiple USA Washington State championships and competing nationally as a club coach.
Brian was also the assistant coach with Coach Bailey from 2014-2025, winning the 2018 & 2019 KingCo championship and making state tournament appearances in 2018 & 2019.
Brian retired from The Boeing Company in 2010, where he was an engineer and manager. He was pulled out of retirement to become the Chief Engineer of Large Commercial Aircraft for National Technical Systems, where he officially retired in 2015.
Pitching Coach - Varsity

STEPHANIE BAILEY

Stephanie Bailey has served as the Head Fastpitch Coach at Eastlake for nine seasons. During her tenure, the Wolves captured the KingCo Championships in 2018 and 2019, finished second at the WesKing District Tournament in 2019, and advanced to the WIAA State Tournament in both 2018 and 2019. Her teams also earned Academic State Champion honors from 2016–2018, reflecting the program’s commitment to excellence both on the field and in the classroom. Stephanie was named KingCo Coach of the Year in 2018, 2024, and 2025.
A proud Eastlake High School graduate, Stephanie played for the Wolves from 2005–2008, where she earned First Team All-KingCo Utility player as a sophomore, First Team Shortstop as a junior, and First Team Pitcher as a senior, when she was also named KingCo MVP. In 2008, she was additionally recognized as a First Team All-State pitcher and helped lead Eastlake to the WIAA Fastpitch State Championship.
Stephanie continued her softball career at Western Washington University (2009–2012) as a pitcher and middle infielder. She served as team captain during her junior and senior seasons and earned First Team honors as a pitcher in her senior year. She also still holds the program record for most consecutive scoreless innings pitched.
Stephanie currently works as a school counselor at Eastlake High School and takes pride in building strong relationships with students and athletes.

Head Coach - Junior Varsity
Mike Eisenstein

Mike Eisenstein joins the Eastlake High School Fastpitch program this year as Head Coach of the Junior Varsity team. He also serves as Eastlake’s Head Slowpitch Coach.
Mike has been coaching youth softball in the area for several years, including the past four years with Flame Fastpitch, a competitive youth softball club based in Bellevue. He has also coached with Eastlake Little League and previously served on the Eastlake Little League Board as Softball Coaching Coordinator, helping support coach and player development and strengthen the local softball program.
Earlier in his career, Mike spent more than a decade leading Product Development at PATH, a global health organization. After retiring from his professional career, he spent time as a substitute teacher in the Lake Washington School District and began dedicating more time to coaching and supporting youth athletics in the community.
Mike lives in Sammamish with his wife Heidi and their two teenagers, Brick and Winter. His coaching philosophy centers on creating a fun, competitive, and supportive environment where players can develop their skills, build confidence, and grow as teammates.
Assistant Coach - JV

Alex Usher

Alex Usher is joining Eastlake Fastpitch for the 2026 season to assist with the JV team. While this is her first year coaching at the high school level, she brings over a decade of experience having coached club softball since 2012, training athletes from 12U through 18U.
Alex’s coaching philosophy is collaborative and athlete-centered, working with players to understand the game and encouraging them to have agency within their own development. She is also a strong advocate for multi-sport athletes and the well-rounded athleticism they bring to the game.
From 2007-2011, Alex played collegiate softball at the University of Puget Sound, where she studied mathematics and economics. She currently works as a software build engineer for Radiant Vision Systems in Redmond, WA.
