Ashley was voted Most Improved Player as a Freshman, Outstanding GPA (Sophomore and Junior), and Team Captain (Sophomore and Senior). Her favorite softball memory is going to state in 2019.

When asked what her first impression of Ashley was, Coach Stephanie said “I remember how light hearted and enjoyable Ashley was to be around. She had a competitive yet calm presence about her. I knew she was going to be coachable and an absolute joy to coach.” One of Coach Stephanie’s favorite memories of Ashley was when she asked to stay after practice one day with her and Coach Brian to work on her hitting. They were able to have one on one time with her, and it highlighted her incredible work ethic. It was fun to watch her swing improve and how strong she got! Coach Brian added “Ash listened, applied, and got better every single time.” Coach Stephanie said that Ashley was always an amazing teammate and always wanted what was best for the team. She has a great sense of humor and has a great mix of sassiness and fun! She had a way of having fun with practices and games, but also working incredibly hard. Coach Brian says that Ashley is a great team player, upbeat all the time, and worked very hard.

Ashley will be continuing her education at Washington State University in the fall. She will likely play intramural softball while she is there, as the game will always be part of her life. While at Eastlake, Ashley also played soccer all four years (and received a number of team awards). She is not only an athlete, but is also a talented artist. Ashley is a member of the American Sign Language Honor Society (Junior and Senior) and recognized as Wolf of the Month – Art (December 2019).
